Hanagumi Taisen Columns (online)

The 4th China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference (commonly known as ChinaJoy), was held on July 28, 2006. At the SEGA booth (more precisely, the SEGA Networks China booth), the development announcement and demo showcase of 樱花宝石 "Hanagumi Taisen Columns (online)" was made. The game was supposed to be developed for PC and had unique features from the previous Hanagumi Taisen Columns games. These features included online multiplayer options that could support up to 6 player at a time with text chat. A hands on demo for the game was held in October of 2006 at the 4th China International Network Culture Expo. According to patients filed Sega to Taiwan's Intellectual Property Office on May 18, 2006 the game would have most likely seen a Traditional Chinese release. The game was cancelled in June 2007 due to Sega's withdrawal from the online games business in China.
