Hatsuho Shinonome (東雲 初穂 Shinonome Hatsuho) is a member of the second generation Imperial Combat Revue's Flower Division.

Appearance[]

Hatsuho is a Japanese girl with red hair tied up in a ponytail on the right side of her head. She has red eyes.

Hatsuho wears an open red shrine maiden's outfit. She has bandages on her arms to hide the cuts and scabs on her arms from working on theater props. She also wears red wooden sandals.

Personality[]

Hatsuho is a pure-hearted girl who loves her friends from the Flower Division as if were family. She also loves her hometown of Shitamachi and the festivals and people in it. She's usually seen as joyful.

Hatsuho can sometimes have a grouchy attitude when she's dealing with people or situations that do not please her. The sudden appearance of the Moscow Combat Revue in Tokyo and their insistence at trying to get Klara (who had amnesia) made Hatsuho look at the newly-arrived group with disdain. She also hated the idea of receiving assistance from Kaminski's group out of fear that such a move could ruin the Flower Division's reputation. Despite her brazen nature, she is a mediator of the members of the Flower Division.

One of Hatsuho's most defining traits is her relationship with her childhood friend Sakura. While she really loves Sakura and stands by her side, both girls were shown to have a few ups and downs in their friendship. They had a huge argument in their childhood that led to them not talking to each other for a long time. Also, Hatsuho was shown to feel upset that Sakura was chosen by Seijuro to be Captain instead of her. This feeling of bitterness and comparison led to Hatsuho becoming reckless and almost getting herself killed in a battle. However, she definitely treats her friend Sakura as one of the most important people in her life and chooses to follow her no matter what.

Background[]

In her childhood, Hatsuho became friends with Sakura Amamiya who used to visit and play with Hatsuho at the Shinonome Shrine while her father is delivering swords. One day, Sakura was shown struggling to learn a ceremonial dance with her friend. As a result, the two kids ended up getting into a fight where Sakura ran away crying. Afterward, she was unable to return and apologize to Hatsuho when her father stopped delivering swords to the shrine. Hatsuho later regretted this outcome.

Sometime after the Great Demon War, Hatsuho became one of the new members of the Imperial Combat Revue alongside Clarissa Snowflake and Azami Mochizuki. Unfortunately, the Revue is in a state of decline due to the absence of its core members after the end of the war. Hatsuho considered quitting the group until Sakura came and joined the Division. All girls tried to revive the Flower Division to embarrassing results which made them gain ridicule from Tokyo and the Shanghai Combat Revue (who will then defend the city in case demons attack).

History[]

Sakura Wars (2019)[]

Episode 1 : Winds of Change[]

Hatsuho's Ending[]

Hatsuho and Seijuro go together to a festival. The young woman approaches Seijuro who is waiting for her. The young man turns around and is surprised to see Hatsuho wearing a pink kimono with red motifs. The shrine maiden shyly asks him if feminine clothing looks good on her. The young man tells her it looks great on her which makes Hatsuho blush. Both of them then proceed to enjoy the festival activites such as catching fish or eating cotton candy.

Later at night, Hatsuho and Seijuro go to hang out near the shrine where the young girl feels her heart racing and body burning up while hoping she doesn't catch up a cold. Suddenly, fireworks happen in the sky with Seijuro calling the view beautiful. Touched by his words, a blushing Hatsuho goes to suddenly embrace Seijuro in her arms. After a few seconds, the young girl and the young man kiss together as fireworks keep shining in the sky.

Sakura Wars the Animation[]

In 1941, a year after Genan's defeat, Hatsuho and the Flower Division were left in the care of their comrade Sakura, who was been named Acting Captain to lead the Flower Division in the absence of Seijuro Kamiyama (who was sent on a secret mission in Russia).

Episode 1 : The Curtain Rises! The New Combat Revue![]

A week after Seijuro's departure, the Flower Division prepares itself for the new show, Freezing Soul, which serves as Sakura's first production as Acting Captain. Sakura asks where Azami is with Hatsuho saying that the young ninja left immediately after rehearsal was over. Sakura panics then runs out of the dressing room in search of Azami as she says that she'll check costumes while she's at it. Hatsuho notices that her friend is really fired up by noticing that this is the same day that Seijuro returns from his secret mission.

Hatsuho and the other members of the Flower Division join Sakura in greeting Seijuro in the hallway before noticing that a new girl is alongside him. When Azami asks for the girl's identity, Seijuro introduces her as Klara and that she's joining the Flower Division as part of a trial basis. Hatsuho and her comrades express their surprise at Klara joining the Flower Division.

The girls return to the dressing room to prepare themselves for the show. Sakura is wondering why she was frowning. Hatsuho replies that she frowns when she's always worried about something but the black-haired girl says that she was thinking and not worried. Hatsuho says that she understands her friend's worries due to Seijuro coming back from a mystery assignment with a secret smile and a new girl at his side. As Azami and Anastasia agree with Hatsuho's comments, Sakura tells her friends to stop being dramatic and that Seijuro probably brought Klara at the theater for a reason. Hatsuho questions Klara's identity as probably a secret love child of Seijuro before Azami and Claris calling him a villain. Frustrated, Sakura asks the girls if they're crazy and what do they think Seijuro is with Hatsuho calling him a lady-killer. Sakura is upset by her friends' words as Kaoru enters the room and tells everyone to take their places for the beginning of the show. Hatsuho and the girls do really well as their performance impresses Klara who watching the show from afar alongside Seijuro.

After the show, Hatsuho expresses her joy at seeing the audience getting really into their show. When entering the dressing room, she asks her comrades if they want some grub as she's starved. Clarissa suggest that she changes first as she could ruin her costume but Hatsuho says that she's not messy before giving a small laugh.

Later on, Hatsuho and the Flower Division meet in the Control Room where Sumire tells the Flower Division that a major incident happened in the outskirts of Petrograd in Russia a week ago. Sumire tells the cover story for the incident was an unfortunate explosion but that the truth was far more disturbing : the Moscow Combat Revue was attacked which caused their airship to crash. She says that only one member of the Revue was accounted for while the others are considered missing for the time being. It is revealed that Seijuro and members of other Revues, which include Lancelot of the London Combat Revue and Elise of the Berlin Combat Revue, were dispatched to investigate and secure Klara who is the only surviving member of the attack. Seijuro reveals that two mysterious individuals appear to be after Klara, one of them being as powerful as a greater demon. The young man says he brought Klara because she needed somebody to stand for her as she has lost her comrades. The girls understand the situation as they're like one big family with Hatsuho replying that they are the best Combat Revue. Hatsuho and the girls promise Seijuro they'll take good care of Klara.

Suddenly, sirens are heard as demons appear in the capital, running straight for the theater. In response, Seijuro orders the Flower Division to deploy and fight the demons. Hatsuho and the girls climb aboard their robots and land in front of the theater, ready to fight against the enemy. Hatsuho succesfully repels the demons with her massive hammer while her friends kill the remaining monsters, succesfully defending the theater.

After the fight, the Flower Division go outside to say goodbye to Seijuro as he's about to return to the WLOF headquarters. Hatsuho and the others watch Seijuro leaving the theater without knowing that a mysterious black-caped individual is watching from afar.

Episode 2 : Identity Unknown! A Mysterious Foe Appears[]

Hatsuho is hanging out in the Parlor alongside Azami while holding a newspaper. Reading about White Cape's recent vigilante activities, the young shrine maiden angrily reacts to the article before the young ninja tells her it's too early for yelling. Hatsuho slams the newspaper on the table while asking her friend how she can remain quiet while White Cape is wreaking havoc. Azami wonders if White Cape really angers Hatsuho that much before the older girl describes the vigilante's actions and unknown origins. However, Azami replies that White Cape probably did nothing wrong as their actions involve stopping government officials abusing their power against normal people. While Hatsuho admits that some people call White Cape a hero, she says that the mysterious figure will not fool her as they have ''revealed'' how horrible they are. Azami asks how with Hatsuho to replying that the vigilante has abducted some poor kid in broad daylight and in public. However, Azami replies by saying that no one seems to have reported the kid's abduction and that the authorities are not looking into the kid's whereabouts. Hatsuho replies by saying that such thing does not matter and that while the authorities might not care, she does. Azami calmly tells her that she's getting herself worked up. Hatsuho angrily bites the newspaper while saying that things would have worked differently has she been there to take care of the abducter. She says that this mean that she will be the one to take White Cape down (which is better according to her). Azami simply replies by saying that Hatsuho truly frightens her at times.

Both girls are approached by Sakura and Klara. When Hatsuho asks her friend what she's doing, Sakura says that she has decided to give Klara the ''grand theatrical tour'' as the demons showed up before they could show the place. Hatsuho agrees the idead makes sense and tells to have fun. Sakura then introduces Hatsuho and Azami whose friendly behaviour slightly scares Klara, causing her to hide behind Sakura.

Hatsuho is later hanging out in the Parlor alongside Anastasia, Clarissa and Azami as they see Sakura and Klara leaving the Theater to visit the city. Hatsuho questions the idea with Anastasia saying that anything is made to make Klara more comfortable. Clarissa tells her comrades to give Klara some time while saying that everybody felt the same during their first day as part of the Flower Division. Azami then comments about how the demons, who were inactive for months, reappear on the same day that Klara arrived in Tokyo and if was truly a coincidence. Hatsuho replies by saying that demons popping out is unheard of and that the ninja is overthinking things. Anastasia wonders if Azami might have a point as Seijuro is still seeking answers and that no one knows about what truly happened to the Moscow Combat Revue's airship. Clarissa also points out convenient it is for Klara to be unable to remember anything that happened that day. Hatsuho expresses her disbelief at how the other girls can think Klara may be involved with her Revue's downfall. She tells them to remember that Seijuro has brought Klara to Tokyo and asked them to treat her like family and that they should accept her. all girls agree with Hatsuho's comments and that they should offer Klara the same treatment.

Hatsuho and the others are later warned by Kaoru that Sakura and Klara got attacked by a ''weirdo in a cape and a mask'' who Hatsuho thinks is White Cape. While Kaoru says that they can't be certain that White Cape is the attacker, Hatsuho says that White Cape is the only possibility. Azami then asks why the vigilante will go after Sakura with the shrine maiden asking why not. Anastasia says that the reason is moot and that they must help Sakura.

Hatsuho arrives just in time to stop the assaillant's claws with her hammer. The shrine maiden tells the girls to leave White Cape to her as Sakura thanks her before escaping with Klara. Hatsuho keeps attacking while telling her opponent that he has taken the wrong girl to mess with. The caped individual then uses his claws to attack Hatsuho before Anastasia shoots a bullet from the nearby rooftop. Hatsuho angrily tells her friend to stay out of this as this is between her and White Cape but Anastasia tells her it's no time for triviality. The actress keeps shooting while Hatsuho keeps attacking with her hammer. However, the enemy dodges their attacks and pursues Sakura and Klara. Hatsuho stops the opponent's claws by grabbing the wires with her hammer. She proudly tells him he's done for but the caped individual shoots knives at Sakura who was saved by Clarissa's magical attack.

Hatsuho is still facing her opponent while expressing her disappointment that she thought she was having a head start. She replies that it doesn't matter and that she still has what it takes to take the enemy down. All girls gang up on White Cape before Hatsuho tells the enemy that he should make things easy for himself. However, Clarissa and Azami wonder if this is truly White Cape as the man's mask, cape and outfit aren't white but black. Hatsuho tells them to focus on the most important as he has has attacked one of their own. As all girls confront Black Cape, Sakura attacks the assailant but her sword is stopped by Black Cape's arms. Sakura is then kicked into a nearby wall before Black Cape attacks Clarissa and takes Klara hostage. Black Cape jumps on a nearby rooftop before Klara is taken by a white-caped woman who came out of nowhere. Hatsuho is surprised to see two White Cape at the same time. White Cape jumps down in the alley and puts down Klara on the ground before fighting Black Cape in a sword battle. Sakura attacks Black Cape on White Cape's words, slicing him in the abdomen. Cornered, Black Cape jumps up on a building and escapes. Even though Klara is safe and sound, Hatsuho snaps her fingers in frustration that Black Cape got away.

Hatsuho and the Flower Division return to the Imperial Theater where Sakura takes Klara back to her room. There, Klara states that she doesn't think she should be here. Sakura tells the other girls about Klara's words which perplexes the group. However, the other girls start to suspect that Klara must be responsible for the Moscow Combat Revue's downfall. Sakura is upset by their words and reprimands her friends as Klara has already been through enough and that they promised Seijuro to accept Klara into their family. As all girls stay silent, the room suddenly becomes dark.

The girls go the window and see a massive airship appear above the skies of Tokyo. A mysterious male voice introduces the airship as the Sevastopol which is being operated by the Moscow Combat Revue. Hatsuho and Sakura are shocked by the announcement as the Moscow Combat Revue was thought to be missing.

Episode 3 : Tokyo Trembles! The New Moscow Combat Revue![]

Hatsuho and her comrades run outside in the courtyard to see the Sevastopol. Suddenly, five masked individuals jump off from the airship and land in the courtyard. Hatsuho angrily insults the arrivants for suddenly appearing in Tokyo while demanding for their identity and if they're searching for a fight. She also comments that they're messing with the Imperial Combat Revue. Landing outside the Imperial Theater, a young man lands in front of the members of the Imperial Combat Revue's Flower Division. Telling the group not to be alarmed by his ominous arrival, the young man politely introduces himself as Valery Kaminski, Captain of the Moscow Combat Revue.

Hatsuho and her comrades follow Kaminski in the Dining Hall. He sits down with Kaoru Rindou while the Flower Division and Klara watch. Kaminski comments on the tea while asking his hosts if they have any jam. Sakura then asks Kaminski about the conflicting reports that the Moscow Combat Revue was taken down in an attack. Kaminski tells the Flower Division that he and his Revue were about to welcome a new member in the outskirts of Petrograd as part of a task given to them by the WLOF until their airship was attacked by an unknown adversary. He mentions that while the entire Revue survived the attack, they will forever be carrying burdens and be scarred by horrible burn injuries, forcing them to wear long black coats and metal helmets. However, he says that because of the attack, the group was able to revive from their ashes like a phoenix as the ''New Moscow Combat Revue''. Kaoru says that she's relieved that Kaminski's group are safe but asks what is the purpose of their visit. Hatsuho tells Kaminski that a sudden arrival in Tokyo will lead to people thinking he's up to no good. He states they have come as part of a family matter which confuse both Hatsuho and Sakura.

Right after he spoke, one of the Moscow Combat Revue members, who is revealed to be called Leyla, steps forward and takes off her coat and mask, revealing herself as a beautiful silver-haired young woman. The woman approaches Klara as Hatsuho tells her to back off as she is scaring the young girl. Leyla tells her to come along but Klara does not seem to remember her, much to Leyla's shock. Kaoru tells Kaminski that Klara doesn't remember anything from her past and that while her amnesia could be temporary, they can't be certain. However, Kaminski says that it does not matter and that his Revue will personally take care of Klara's recovery as she's one of their own. Klara is again approached by Leyla who keeps telling her to come back but the young girl is terrified. Leyla is stopped by Hatsuho who angrily says that she does not like the idea of returning an amnesiac defenceless Klara and that she's a member of the Imperial Combat Revue. The other members of the Flower Division agree with Hatsuho that they will never give a terrified child to strangers but Leyla responds by saying they will take Klara by force if necessary. Hatsuho provokes Leyla by attempting to punch her but the other girl's right eye glows red granting her unknown strength to tighten Hatsuho's fist. Kaminski tells Leyla to stop as Revues are made to fight demons and not others. Kaminski insists the Flower Division to give Klara back but Sakura refuses, telling him that they were ordered by their Captain, Seijuro Kamiyama, to watch over Klara and they will keep her until further notice or news from him. Kaminski then asks where Seijuro is and when will he return. Even though Kaoru says that he's currently on a mission in Europe and that the date of his return is unknown, Kaminski still insists for Klara's return.

Hatsuho and her friends follow Sumire and Kaminski to Sumire's office. The two are talking while the Flower Division is eavesdropping. Sumire says that while she's the Commander, her hands are tied up as it was Captain Seijuro Kamiyama who ordered the Flower Division to watch over Klara and that the young girl will remain with them under Kamiyama's orders to the Flower Division's relief. However, Kaminski says that he will forcibly request Klara's return under a sanction's decree. He says that an official injonction will not take too much time and that they will meet again. After his meeting with Sumire, Kaminski leaves the theater with Leyla and his group with Hatsuho and the others watching.

Later, Sumire summons Sakura and the Flower Division to her office to tell them she received a call from the WLOF which confirmed Kaminski is indeed with the Moscow Combat Revue. She tells them that since Kaminski told the truth, it will not take long before an official order tells them to give them Klara. Hatsuho is frustrated by the news but Clarissa says that they cannot ignore an order coming from above. Klara is worried until she feels a repulsive feeling. When Sakura asks her what's wrong, Klara tells her that ''they're coming''. The others are concerned about her words just before the alarm rings, alerting them that the demons are coming. The Flower Division deploys to fight the demon while Klara goes to observe the battle from the Control Room.

Sakura leads the charge against the invaders who appeared near Tokyo Bay but are surprised to find only one demon of a gargantuan size. Sumire says that the demon's size does not matter as they clearly outnumber it. However, Hatsuho starts acting strange by immediately attacking. Sakura tries to reason with her friend but Hatsuho says that she's in a bad mood today and that she wants to release some anger. Hatsuho gets hit away by the demon who is revealed to be surprisingly fast despite its great size. After Hatsuho got hit by the demon, Sakura runs to protect her friend who was about to get squashed by the demon's foot. Anastasia, Clarissa and Azami attack to distract the beast while Sakura asks her friend if she's alright. Hatsuho says she's fine and receives a transmission from Reiji saying that her machine is fine more or less but that she has to switch to backup power mode.

Kaminski suddenly contacts the Flower Division during their battle asking them if they desire assistance as their airship is located not far from their current location. Hatsuho talks back by refusing, saying that if it is discovered that they had to rely on another Combat Revue for assistance, it will not do any favors to the Flower Division's reputation. Kaminski replies by saying that such thing is not important in times of crisis and turns over to Sakura to leave her to make the choice as Captain. Sakura refuses saying they do not need any help. Kaminski understands the decision and tells Sakura the Moscow Combat Revue will remain in standby in case they should mobilize and leaves. Sakura says that it's not up to the Moscow Combat Revue to defend Tokyo but them. Under Sakura's words, the Flower Division follow the demon which keeps advancing towards the Imperial Theater.

The Flower Division corner the beast which couldn't advance any further bacause of the rising bridge. Sakura asks the others if they're ready with Hatsuho replying that she will take the demon down this time. However, Sakura says she won't and that while she was lucky it didn't kill her, it will be better and safer to fight as a team. Hatsuho sacarsticaly answers back with her friend asking her what's her problem. Unknownly to Sakura, her childhood friend has bitter feelings about not being chosen as Acting Captain by Seijuro. Hatsuho says that can do this on her own and ask Sakura to stand down. Hatsuho charges much to Sakura's surprise. While Sakura is worried, Anastasia suggests to use Hatsuho's tenacity to their full adavantage and create coordinated attacks. Everyone weakens the demon with Hatsuho using her special attack Ceremonial Hammer to deal the final blow. With the demon seemingly down, Hatsuho expresses her excitement but Sakura sees the demon stand up and tries to warn Hatsuho. However, before Hatsuho can react, the demon knocks Hatsuho's hammer into the river leaving her defenceless and knocking her Mugen down on the floor. Sakura tries to save her friend but gets knocked away while Anastasia, Azami and Clarissa attack from afar but to no avail. Unable to move, Hatsuho screams as she's about to get crushed before a massive energy blast comes from the sky and hits the beast. Five mysterious black Spiricle Strikers belonging to the Moscow Combat Revue land down in front of the demon. Leyla, who was piloting one of them, mocks the Flower Division's lack of power and tells them to witness true power. The Moscow Combat Revue attack in tandem to succesfully destroy the beast surprising the Flower Division. After witnessing that, Hatsuho slams her own fists in frustration on her command board.

Later, Hatsuho and the Flower Division are on the bridge as Hatsuho's Kobu gets carried away by Reiji. Kaminski and Leyla approach while taunting the Flower Division. Kaminski looks at Klara and warns Sumire that demons will keep appearing in Tokyo as long as Klara remains in the city. Both he and Leyla leave the scene, with Sakura lowering her head in disapointment thinking Kaminski says they failed to protect the city and Klara. The Flower Division remain silent as Hatsuho screams to the heavens in frustration for her actions.

Episode 4 : Friendship in Full Bloom! Thousand Year Cherry Blossoms![]

Following their humiliating battle, Hatsuho falls into a depression which causes her to run away back to her family shrine in shame. She leaves a note on her door to inform her friends about her departure.

After coming back home, Hatsuho silently sits in her courtyard as she remembers her reckless actions during their last battle. She tells herself to stop feeling down like a child.

Hatsuho remains in her courtyard until Sakura and Klara both arrive to her surprise. The three girls sit down for some tea when Hatsuho asks what they are doing here. Sakura says that between Hatsuho's letter and her vanishing, everyone was worried. She also says that she covered Hatsuho by saying she went back home for the spring festival. Hatsuho says she forgot about the whole thing until last night but Sakura asks if she really expects her to believe that. Both Sakura and Klara suspect that Hatsuho is hding something which makes Sakura asks what really happened while mentionning that even Seijuro is concerned. The mention of Seijuro's name makes Hatsuho ask if Seijuro really contacted. Hatsuho is upset saying that if she knew Seijuro will contact them, she will not have left. Sakura and Klara then suggest that they will help Hatsuho with the festival.

Sakura and Klara assist Hatsuho by decorating and cleaning the shrine. Sakura says that she forgot how fun it was coming to the shrine while reminescing about her childhood and the Thousand Year Cherry Door. However, Sakura didn't know that Hatsuho still had some jealousy about Sakura being chosen as Acting Captain instead of her.

During the festival, Hatsuho performs some ceremonial dancing as people, including Sakura and Klara, watch.

After the festival, Klara and Sakura meet up with Hatsuho to compliment their friend on her dancing. While walking together, Sakura comments on how she was a mess before Seijuro came along. Hatsuho also teases Sakura on her bad dancing much to Sakura's embarassment. Hatsuho, Sakura and Klara go to sit down behind the shrine where Sakura hopes to see everyone come to the festival next year (which includes dancing with Seijuro). She expresses interest in having everybody dance under the Cherry Blossom Tree. Hatsuho then comments about how the Thousand Year Cherry Tree stopped blooming ever since their childhood after a painful argument between Sakura and Hatsuho led to Sakura never coming back to the shrine. Sakura then says if was her own fault for that as she was just a ''green-eyed little crybaby'' that wanted to become just like her friend who she saw as the ''coolest kid ever''. Sakura says that she wanted to apologize for a long time but since her father stopped doing business with the shrine, she never came back. Hatsuho comments on how they never brought this incident ever since that day and that she felt bad ever since (she even thought she was the reason why Sakura never came back). Sakura apologizes to her best friend and says that she deserved much better than why she has given her. Hatsuho apologizes for being a pain in the ass recently and that she should have listened to her friend. Sakura tells her to not worry as she is her best friend. Hatsuho also notes on she was about to leave the Imperial Combat Revue because the group was a total mess a year ago, which made them rely on the Shanghai Combat Revue to protect the city. Hatsuho says that Sakura is the reason the Flower Division stands together but Sakura rejects the notion by saying that neither of them will be there without Seijuro or the others.

After watching Hatsuho and Sakura reconcile, Klara approaches both girls and ask them what the Thousand Cherry Blossom Tree looked like. The girls are confused but both Hatsuho and Sakura close their eyes while holding Klara's hands. Suddenly, Klara uses a mysterious power from her left eye to make the tree blossom for the first time in years. Hatsuho and Sakura are surprised which makes Hatsuho ask Klara if she made this happen. Klara says all three made the tree blossom because Klara considers them her friends and reached out to them. Klara almost faints before being catched by Hatsuho who asks her if she's okay. Klara says she's just tired. When Hatsuho asks her why she will do this, Klara says it's because she owns so much to them and that because they're friends and that when a friend is sad or hurt, she will reach out to them. The three girls happily look at each other, not knowing that Azami was looking from afar.

Episode 5 : The Goofball Detective Combo! Find Klara's Secret![]

One morning, Hatsuho goes to the Dining Room alongside Klara and Sakura for breakfast not knowing that Azami was watching them from behind the staircase.

As Klara is setting up plates for breakfast, Hatsuho notices Azami who was hanging out near the entrance of the Dining Room and grabs her by the back of her clothes. Hatsuho asks the young girl if she's too impatient to wait for breakfast and to make herself useful. Azami tries to defend herself as Clarissa (who clearly doesn't want get in trouble) goes to help Klara set up the plates. Azami is taken to a seat by Hatsuho while Clarissa and Klara bring the food. As Azami asks if it's too early for such a big meal, a grouchy Hatsuho tells her to eat hoping that it will make her mood better. Azami eats not knowing her odd behaviour makes Sakura suspicious.

Later at night, Hatsuho and Sakura are sent outside to fight a demon that mysteriously appears in the city. They arrive to find Klara, Azami and Clarissa. Hatsuho comments that aside from watching most events happen from afar, they probably missed on a lot. Clarissa comments on how she defeated the demon as well as Black Cape reappearing to capture Klara again only to be foiled again by White Cape. Klara wakes up in relief that she was saved by her friends once again. Azami then asks Klara why she left the Theater as such a late hour. The platinum-haired girl tells her friends to follow her. The girls follow Klara to the top of a hill in a near park where Klara says that the beautiful view reminds her of her homeland. She said that she recently read a poem about Russia which made her reminiscend about her homeland. She then thanks the girls for being there for her as Reiji is watching from behind a tree. Hatsuho later returns to the theater alongside everyone.

Episode 6 : Strange and Bizarre! The True Identity of Black Cape![]

One morning, Hatsuho is going to the Dining Room with the other girls for breakfast. Hatsuho suddenly stops which results in Sakura hitting her nose on Hatsuho's back. Sakura tells Hatsuho that it almost ended in a ''disaster'' which makes Hatsuho apologize. The girls look at where Hatsuho was watching and spot Sakura's swordmaster Hakushuu who was awaiting them. Realizing Klara and Hakushuu never met directly, Sakura introduces her friend but is surprised when Hakushuu already knows Klara's identity. When Sakura asks her master how she already knows about Klara, Hakushuu says she's heard rumors about the new member of the Flower Division being a young girl from Russia and that Tokyo is all over her. Hakushuu and Klara shake hands with the young girl being pleased to meet her. Hakushuu tells Sakura and Klara to come to the orphanage she works at to help her clean a storage room. The three women leave the Theater while the others remain behind.

Later, Hatsuho, Clarissa, Azami and Anastasia receive an anonymous tip from Hakushuu who warns them that Black Cape has returned to try another attempt at capturing Klara. The girls get to the orphanage while bringing Sakura's Mugen for them. The Flower Division, now completed, joins Hakushuu in a fight against Black Cape.

After launching attack after attack on the mysterious individual, Black Cape's clothes get burned down revealing its true nature as a robot-like entity. It then attacks with increased agility and speed by jumping on Clarissa's Mugen. Hakushuu jumps and attacks Black Cape but her attack is stopped when the robot moves his arms backwards. Despite its speed, Black Cape gets damaged by its enemies which causes it to levitate nearby rocks and fuse with them.

Black Cape reappears in its true form : a rock monster with purple crystals all over its body which shocks the Flower Division. With its newly found strength, Black Cape fights against Hakushuu who transforms into White Cape. The masked woman is able to hold back her own against it much to the surprise of the Flower Division. After a small scuffle, White Cape instructs Sakura and the Flower Division to attack the demon and aim for the demon's core which is the blue crystal located in its chest. Despite its best efforts, Black Cape is destroyed when Sakura uses her special attack Cherry Blossom Blizzard to destroy the demon's core. The core's destruction causes Black Cape's body to be engulfed in a red explosion, destroying the demon once and for all. However, the explosion, which is witnessed by Klara, triggers the young girl's memory to return in the form of a vision where Klara watches the Moscow Combat Revue fall in front of her. Horrified by the memory, Klara screams which alerts Sakura. Sakura exits her Mugen and hugs a teary Klara to comfort her as Hatsuho, Naoya and the Flower Division look at them with a worried look.

Later at the Theater, Hatsuho and the others learn from Hakushuu that she was using Klara as bait to lure out Black Cape in the open as she knew they will come after Klara. Sakura reprimands her master for putting her friend in danger but Hakushuu says that Klara's safety was her top priority and that she brought Sakura to protect her as she knew her student was able to do so. The other girls then talk about Black Cape's identity as a robot with Anastasia suggesting that someone must have builded the robot to capture Klara. As they wonder about who their unknown enemy is, Sakura is disappointed that they are at the same place as they were before and that the ''nightmare'' is not over yet. However, she also says that she and her friends will keep protecting Klara as she's part of their family. Afterwards, Hatsuho and her friends watch Klara and Hakushuu talk before Hakushuu leaves the Theater.

Episode 7 : Stealth Mission! Tail the Date![]

Hatsuho and the Flower Division greet Seijuro who has recently came back from his mission in Europe. When Sakura tells her Captain that it's great to see him, Klara ran to hug him much to the surprise of Seijuro and the girls. Everyone is perplexed when they see Klara in tears.

Wanting to win Seijuro's attention, Sakura decides to cook a meal for her Captain. While the young swordswoman is tasting her cooking, Hatsuho arrives and asks her friend when did she started to cook. Surrounded by her friends, Sakura says that she's making something that will make Klara cheer up while also making something that will give Seijuro the ''taste of home''. After waking up from a romantic vision, Sakura sees that her comrades including Klara have all decided to cook for Seijuro much to her dismay. While Sakura is trying to understand the current situation, Hatsuho tells her friend her pot is overflowing.

After Sakura gives a bowl of miso soup to Seijuro, Hatsuho gives a bowl of onigiri to the young man saying that any Japanese meal needs onigiri. The other girls arrive with their own dish to Seijuro (Anastasia has moussaka, Clarissa has steamed mussels, Klara has beef and Azami has the ''Ninja Surprise Pot''). The girls then ask Seijuro what he's going to eat first. However, Seijuro suggests that they all eat together because there is so much food. Everyone agrees and sit down to enjoy their meals.

The next day, Hatsuho, Clarissa, Azami and Anastasia are summoned to the Control Room where Reiji reveals a video of Seijuro, Sakura and Klara leaving for a date in the city. Hatsuho expresses her frustration at Sakura for having a secret date behind the back of the others. Reiji summons Itsuki Saijou and Hiromi Hongou of the Moon Division to assist the Flower Division in their ''mission'' while Komachi thinks the whole plan is absurd.

During the ''mission'', Hatsuho, who was wearing sunglasses, spied on Seijuro, Sakura and Klara as they were having their date. At some point, the young shrine maiden and her Flower Division get themselves lost in a crowd with Hatsuho desperatly asking which way they should go.

Hatsuho and the girls try to follow Seijuro's trio on a boat but were stopped by an employee as the boat was full. They then watch a disguised Kaminski and Leyla, who were also following the trio, run jump over the river to try to land on the boat only to fail and fall into the river.

After the boat left, the Flower Division comments that since Klara was with Seijuro and Sakura, they realize that they weren't really on a date with Anastasia saying that they were just taking Klara out. Hatsuho and the girls drop their communication watches, much to Reiji's dismay, and leave the scene with Hatsuho asking the girls if they're ready for some fun.

Episode 8 : Nonstop Chaos! The Combat Revue Challenge![]

Hatsuho and the Imperial Combat Revue are challenged by the Moscow Combat Revue to a live broadcast competition that will determine Klara's future. The shrine maiden and her comrades support Sumire as she confronts Valery Kaminski for putting them in a position where they cannot back out without having their reputation be tarnished.

In the Imperial Combat Revue's loge, Klara apologizes for causing problems but Hatsuho pats the young girl's head and tells her that because ''they wanted a fight, they're giving them one''. After the other girls tell Klara that there is nothing to worry about, the young girl nods with a few tears on her face.

For the first round, which is a dance battle, Hatsuho goes onstage to perform a traditional Shinto dancing. Everyone looks in admiration as they feel confidant about a possible victory. After Hatsuho returns to the Flower Division loge, Klara praises Hatsuho by saying that she looked like a magical fairy. The shrine maiden thanks her friend and pats her on the head. Afterwards, Hatsuho and her friends watch Leyla perform the Black Swan ballet which allows her to claim victory with 196 points compared to Hatsuho's 182 points. Hatsuho apologizes to Klara for failing to win the first round but Klara says she doesn't need to as her dance was amazing.

After Azami's victory in the second round (due to Kaminski withdrawing), the young ninja returns to the loge with Anastasia claiming that a victory is still a victory. Hatsuho and her friends say with confidence that they will win the third round which consists of a mock battle.

In the third round, the winning team will be determined by who reaches Klara first atop of the tower. At first, the Flower Division appears to be winning which allows Sakura to climb the tower. However, as the swordswoman approaches the glass box, she is stopped by two Moscow Combat Revue members who are not part of the mock battle. Fortunately, Hatsuho and Azami arrive to rescue Sakura from her opponents.

After a blackout caused by Kaminski's power hits the arena, Leyla makes her fallen teammates rise up from the ground while also powering their weapons, which are actually real. While fighting one of Leyla's teammates, Hatsuho tells Azami to go help Sakura. The young ninja jumps and tries to reach the top of the tower but gets shot by Leyla's weapon which makes Azami fall. Hatsuho moves quickly and catches Azami before she hits the ground. With Azami unconscious and their Mugens incapacitated, Hatsuho can only curse in response to her inability to move.

Episode 9 : Unbelievable! The Truth About Klara![]

Following the events at the stadium, Hatsuho returned to the Imperial Theater alongside Sumire, Kaoru and the Flower Division. Angry, Hatsuho asks Sumire why the media think the Flower Division are working with the Moscow Combat Revue. Sumire says it's because they cannot allow the public to learn the truth about the events they're currently facing. Anastasia also says it's because they cannot reveal that there are demons working inside the WLOF. Knowing that Anastasia accuses Klara of being a demon, the shrine maiden answers back by saying that Klara is no demon but Anastasia, Azami and Clarissa all suspect that Klara, whose sister Leyla is a demon, faked her amnesia as a way to infiltrate the group. Flabbergasted, Hatsuho was unable to respond when the group receives a video transmission from Seijuro.

Hatsuho and the Flower Division listens to the young man as he informs his comrades about what he discovered in Russia during his investigation. He reveals that after travelling around Russia, he discovered that the Moscow Combat Revue truly perished when their airship fell down and that Valery Kaminski's Moscow Combat Revue are actually frauds. On top of that, he tells the Flower Division how he was in contact with a woman called Natalia Ruzhkova. Natalia, who was a scientist researching on Demons, met up with Seijuro one night and revealed how she used cells harvested from a certain greater demon to create human-demon hybrids known as Nadezhda. She almost gave up due to many failed experiments until two Nadezhda that she created were born : Leyla and Klara. She also told Seijuro on how Kaminski, joined the project as a ''volunteer'' to further Natalia's research. However, Kaminski, who mysteriously knew about the Nadezhda, secretly joined the project to use the Nadezhda's power to rule the world. After Natalia discovered Kaminski's plans, she escaped with Klara and contacted the WLOF to warn them. The WLOF sent the Moscow Combat Revue to pick up Klara near Petrograd but Kaminski, who knew about it, arrived and attacked the Moscow Combat Revue's airship, killing the entire Revue in the process.

After hearing Seijuro's story, Sumire asks the Flower Division what will they do now that they know the truth. Hatsuho and the girls are uncertain of their next move until Sakura speaks out and says that the entire truth about Kaminski and the Nadezhda is too much to take. However, she says how much she loved being with Klara, how she doesn't want to see the girl suffer anymore and that she just want to tell her ''Welcome Home'' should she returns to the Theater. After hearing that, Hatsuho and the other Flower Division members agree with their friend when Kaoru informs them that the Sevastopol has just appeared. Noticing that the Sevastopol was hiding underwater (a fact that frustrates Hatsuho), the Flower Division wonders on why has Kaminski's forces reappeared now with Sumire theorizing that they might have found Klara. Sumire tells the girls to find Klara before Kaminski's forces and bring her home.

Hatsuho and the Flower Division arrives to fight Leyla and her comrades. After Hatsuho reveals that they know that Leyla's group are not the real Moscow Combat Revue, Leyla sends her comrades to fight the Flower Division. During the fight, Hatsuho tries to land an attack on Leyla but is stopped by one Leyla's comrades. Leyla keeps running away as her comrades are being taken down one by one by the Flower Division who are joined by White Cape. Now cornered, Leyla turns into her Nadezhda form and flies down on Hatsuho. The shrine maiden tries to attack her in vain which allows Leyla to pin down Hatsuho's Mugen on the ground. An angry Hatsuho calls Leyla a monster but the demon answers back by saying that Klara, the girl they're trying to defend, is also a monster. Leyla turns over to Klara and tries to persuade her that no one will accept her as they will see her as a monster. She says that Kaminski will embrace her with open arms and accept her for what she is. However, Klara is rescued by White Cape who reveals herself to be Hakushuu Murasame.

Klara tells her older sister that she chooses to remain with Sakura and the Flower Division. As Klara reaches out to grab the hand of Sakura's Mugen, Kaminski uses the Sevastopol to launch an energy beam on the Flower Division causing a massive explosion that seriously injures Sakura and makes her lose consciousness. The attack causes a horrified Hatsuho to scream Kaminski's name in rage. Hakushuu gets Sakura out of her Mugen before it explodes. As Kaminski keeps firing on the Flower Division, Hatsuho and her comrades try to defend themselves from his attacks but were unable to move as a powerless Klara is taken by Leyla before flying away.

Episode 10 : The Destruction of Tokyo? The Rage of Tunguska![]

After the last battle against Leyla, Hatsuho and the Flower Division return to the Imperial Theater with their Mugen seriously damaged. In the Hangar, Anastasia asks Reiji how long it will take him to fix everything with the young man saying it could take him maybe 12 hours to get everything in a working condition. Hatsuho and Clarissa fear that another attack could happen in that time and ask Reiji about putting them to work as a way to resolve the situation faster but Reiji says that this one is on him and that the girls should just rest. Sakura, who has now healed her severe injuries, approaches the group with Hatsuho and the others asking for their's friend's health. After Sakura tells her friends that she's alright, the black-haired woman asks Reiji how bad her Mugen is. Unfortunately for the young swordswoman, the brown-haired young man tells her that her Mugen is unsalvagable.

Hatsuho, the Flower Division, Sumire, Kaoru, Hakushuu and Reiji assemble in the Control Room to watch Valery Kaminski's live broadcast where he uses a crystal-like weapon known as the Rage of Tunguska to destroy a mountain in a matter of seconds. After demonstrating his powers, Kaminski gives all of the world governments an ultimatum : disband and recognize him as their supreme ruler or be destroyed.

After that, Hatsuho and everybody else are contacted by Seijuro who tells them that the director of the WLOF was Kaminski's mechanical puppet and that Kaminski probably took advantage of the Genan Incident from one year ago to plant his puppet. The young man says that while the WLOF is safe now, European nations are concerned about Kaminski's display of power earlier and are already considering surrendering. When Hatsuho and the Flower Division refuses to back down and abandon Klara and Tokyo, Seijuro agrees with their decision and turns to Sakura who says that she use a Type-3 Kobu to replace her unsalvagable Mugen. Seijuro turns over to Hakushuu who is waiting in the shadows of the Control Room and asks her to watch over his girls until he manages to come back home. After everyone agrees, Seijuro leaves.

In the Hangar, Hatsuho and the Flower Division get aboard their Spiricle Strikers before entering in bullet-like capsules that will be shot to the Sevastopol. Hakushuu, dressed in her White Cape garments, also boards a capsule. With everybody ready, Reiji launches the Flower Division and Hakushuu all the way to the Sevastopol.

After arriving inside the Sevastopol, Hatsuho, Hakushuu and the Flower Division make their way only to be confronted by Kaminski's mechanical dolls which are called the ''Moscow Fakers'' by Hatsuho. Suddenly, all of the dolls turn into golem-like demons which remind the girls of Black Cape's true form with Azami confirming that Black Cape was another one of Kaminski's minions and that he was behind everything. While Clarissa fears that they cannot fight all of those demons due to them struggling with Black Cape before, Hakushuu tells the girls that it's not time to rest as she runs to attack the demons. Hatsuho and the Flower Division immediately join the battle with Hatsuho destroying several demons with ease. With the girls easily gaining the upper hand, Hakushuu leaves the scene after telling Sakura to take care of the remaining demons themselves as she will go to take care of the Rage of Tunguska.

Sakura is contacted by Reiji who warns her that the Type-3 Kobu is reaching its limits. Sakura tries to fight more but as the Kobu's status worsens, Reiji tells her to get out as it will get too dangerous for her. As Hatsuho, Reiji and the Flower Division try to persuade Sakura of leaving, the young swordswoman refuses as she cannot leave Klara. Her courageous declarations remind Sumire of her missing comrade Sakura Shinguji which prompts the Commander to ask Sakura if she's ready to go all the way to save Klara. Sumire then convinces Reiji to send the prototype Obu to the Sevastopol.

When the Obu arrives, Hatsuho and the girls cover Sakura as she runs out of her Kobu and into the prototype Obu. The young swordswoman easily destroys every beast which impresses her comrades. With their path clear, Hatsuho and the Flower Division move forward in search of Klara.

Episode 11 : A Fantastic, Tragic Love! Leyla's Heart![]

After destroying the remaining golems aboard the Sevastopol, Hatsuho and the Flower Division confront Kaminski and Leyla who were standing before Klara who was attached to the Rage of Tunguska. Kaminski tells the Flower Division that he considers mankind to be selfish and corrupted and that he hopes to create a new world free of that. When Hatsuho spitefully asks Kaminski if he needs Klara to create his new world, the young man confirms that Klara will correct everything.

Hatsuho and her comrades listen to Kaminski who reveals how after he gained powers from a mysterious rock that fell from the heavens, he traveled the world only to witness how corrupted and destructive mankind has become. As a result, he infiltrated Natalia Ruzhkova's project and attempted to get the Ruzhkova sisters' powers to destroy the current world and built a new one.

When Hatsuho and the Flower Division reject Kaminski's comments as that of a delusional madman with a god complex, Anastasia fires at the machine holding Klara to free her but Kaminski blocks all of her bullets much to the girls' surprise. Kaminski tries to recruit the Flower Division to his side but is coldly rejected by the girls who are furious by his declarations. As a result, Kaminski threatens to destroy Tokyo but fails to do so as the Rage of Tunguska is destroyed by Hakushuu who arrives shortly after. Needing some time to fix the Rage of Tunguska, Kaminski orders Leyla to fight the Flower Division. Hatsuho and the Flower Division are told by Hakushuu that she will put an end to Kaminski before he finishes the repairs while the girls handle the rest.

A fully transformed Leyla fights Hatsuho and the Flower Division as Kaminski tries to repair the Rage of Tunguska. Sakura tries to persuade Leyla that they don't need to fight. While Hatsuho tries to tell Sakura to not reason with Leyla as she works with Kaminski, Sakura tells Leyla that Natalia raised her and her sister for more than fighting but Leyla rejects her claims by saying that Sakura knows nothing about what her and her sister have been through.

Hatsuho and the Flower Division listen as Leyla tells the girls she was always ashamed of her true nature as a Nadezhda until her first meeting with Kaminski in Russia. Even though she always knew of Kaminski's sinister intentions, she was happy that someone could call her beautiful. When Kaminski joined Natalia's project, Leyla was happy to be at his side and always tried to please Kaminski in every way she could until it was revealed her sister Klara had more potential than her. As a result, Kaminski always searched for Klara and pursued her all the way to Tokyo which fueled jealousy in Leyla's heart.

Leyla's declarations causes Hatsuho and her friends to show sympathy for Leyla. When Kaminski tries to brainwash Leyla to get rid of her feelings, Hatsuho wonders if Leyla was fighting the Flower Division against her will. However, Hakushuu says that Leyla's feelings for Kaminski are very real and that Kaminski is just twisting them to manipulate the girl. Suddenly, Hatsuho and everyone are surprised by Leyla overcoming her brainwashing before being sent against a wall by an angry Kaminski.

With his cannon repaired, Kaminski orders Klara to fire the Rage of Tunguska again as Hatsuho, Hakushuu and the Flower Division moves in to stop him only to defend against blue energy shots. An injured Leyla stands up and flies towards Klara to rescue her but is mortally wounded by Kaminski much to everyone's shock. Mortally injured, Leyla breaks all of the cannon cables and saves Klara. An explosion sends Leyla and an unconscious Klara on the ground. Hatsuho, Hakushuu and the Flower Division run to the sisters' side.

After Klara woke up, Hatsuho and the others watch as Leyla tells Klara to leave and go back to her new family. A massive fire appears and seemingly kills Leyla. Hatsuho, Hakushuu and the Flower Division can only look down in sadness and frustration that they have failed to save Leyla. Shocked at the sight of Leyla's supposed death and angered by Kaminski mocking her sister, Klara suffers an emotional breakdown and her powers begin to go out of control in front of her friends. Hatsuho and everyone else could only stand still as a white light in the shape of angel wings engulfs the Sevastopol.

Episode 12 : The Grand Finale! Hope for Tomorrow![]

Following Klara's awakening, Kaminski looks at Klara's enraged form and casually comments on her beauty which earns him her wrath. Sakura comes out of her Prototype Obu and tries to calm down Klara but an angry Kaminski shoots energy beams at her which are blocked by Anastasia. The young man is blocked by Hatsuho, Hakushu and the Flower Division who all tell Sakura to calm down Klara. After a few seconds, the swordswoman succeeds in calming her friend. As Hatsuho and the Flower Division corner the young man, Kaminski laughs while revealing the Sevastopol's true power : it can absorb the power of a demon.

Hatsuho and the Flower Division watch as Kaminski grabs two damaged cables from the Rage of Tunguska to transform himself into a semi-crystallized form. Kaminski reveals he will use the energy he drained from Klara to fuse himself with the Sevastopol while ''thanking'' Leyla and Klara for helping him achieve this. Hatsuho and the Flower Division fight against Kaminski but get overwhelmed by the latter's power. As Sakura is about to get killed by Kaminski, the Sevastopol is being attacked from outside by the other Combat Revues. With the ship being attacked, Sakura orders the Flower Division to fall back. Kaminski tries to prevent the Flower Division from escaping but is being stopped by Hakushu who tells the girls to leave. Sakura tries to stop her master but Hatsuho reassures her that Hakushu will be fine due to her immense power. After Hatsuho and the Flower Division retreat, Sumire orders the Flower Division to jump on the Imperial Combat Revue ship outside. After reuniting with Hatsuho and the others, Hakushu says that there is no way Kaminski could have survived that even with his powers as the heavily damaged Sevastopol falls into the ocean.

Unfortunately for the Combat Revues, Kaminski survives the explosion and fires back from underwater. To the surprise of Hatsuho and everyone else, Kaminski fuses with the Sevastopol to create a giant golem-like monster. Through the use of massive energy beams, Kaminski is able to overwhelm the Imperial Combat Revue and the other Revues. Under Seijuro's command, Hatsuho, the Flower Division and the other Combat Revues then start to attack in unison against Kaminski but are unable to withstand his powerful attacks. Kaminski then starts making his way towards Tokyo with the Revues after him. Hatsuho and her comrades try to stop him but Kaminski creates a large number of magic circles which summons flying demons.

Having arrived in Tokyo, Kaminski charges a huge energy beam to destroy the city. However, Klara joins the battle with her new Tenjin, a spiricle striker designed for her, which allows her to easily destroy every demon. Hatsuho and the others watch as Kaminski prepares himself to destroy the city. Being tipped by Hakushu, the Revues keep attacking the core of Kaminski's body but are unable to properly inflict damage on it. When Kaminski fires his energy beam, Clarissa creates a massive magic wall to stop the attack which prompts Hatsuho and the Flower Division to assist her. Hakushu uses her mysterious abilities to power up Clarissa's wall which sends Kaminski's attack back at him. As Hatsuho and her comrades are paralyzed, Sumire contacts Sakura and Klara and tells them that Klara's Tenjin has been created to fuse with Sakura's Prototype Obu and increase their powers.

With their fused spiricle strikers, Sakura and Klara are able to match Kaminski. At one point, the girls get close to attack but are caught by Kaminski who electrifies the girls in an attempt to kill them. To the girls' ignorance, Leyla, who was engulfed earlier by fire, manifests herself as a spirit to drain Kaminski's powers and immortality away. This allows Sakura and Klara to get closer and destroy Kaminski's barrier with a strong attack, exposing him. An angry Kaminski could not stop Sakura from stabbing him in the chest, killing him. After Kaminski's entire body dissolved into nothingness, Hatsuho, the Flower Division and the other Revues go to welcome back Sakura and Klara.

Following Valery Kaminski's death, Hatsuho and the Flower Division prepare themselves for their next show with Klara who has officially joined the group. When the show starts, Hatsuho and her comrades sing and dance in front of Seijuro, Lancelot, Elise and everyone. When the show ended, everyone is applauding as Hatsuho looks to a bright future alongside the Flower Division.
