Ichiro Ogami (大神 一郎, Ōgami Ichirō) is the main Protagonist of Sakura Wars through Sakura Wars 4. He was the commander of the first generation Imperial Combat Revue and the former captain of the first generation Imperial Combat Revue's Flower Division, the first generation Paris Combat Revue's Fleur Division and the briefly lived Ogami Combat Revue.
Appearance[]
Ichiro has very spiky short black hair and gray eyes.
He typically wears his ticket clipper uniform. A yellow and brown unbuttoned vest with a white collared underdress shirt that he rolls up its sleeves, a green tie, brown overalls, black slacks, and brown and tan leather shoes.
Ichiro's navy uniform is traditional of an officer in the Japanese Imperial Navy. A white coat with black and yellow shoulder marks and yellow buttons, white slacks and white quarter shoes. He usually carries his white, black and yellow sailor's cap.
In Sakura Wars 3, Ichiro is given the Portable Kinematron, a device that allows for one way communication with others with a similar device which he always carried around while in Paris.
Personality[]
Similar to some protagonists, Ichiro's personality is mainly determined by player choice.
Outside of player choice, Ichiro is heroic with an intense drive to protect the innocent. His desire to protect both his homes, Tokyo and Paris, and his family in both is what compels him to fight.
Ichiro has no issues with helping others and the work he does with various characters throughout the series is one of his most defining attributes.
Ichiro is quite easy to fluster, he was stunned into silence by Ayame Fujieda's boldness sucking his finger after hitting it with a hammer and she wouldn't leave his mind. He was similarly quite flustered when first meeting Ayame's sister Kaede Fujieda.
Background[]
Ichiro is a graduate of the Imperial Naval Academy and was chosen by lieutenant general Ikki Yoneda after graduating at the top of his class and showing proficiency in piloting a Koubu.
In that graduation class was Yuichi Kayama. The two were rivals and friends who lost contact after the Naval Academy but were reunited in 1925 when they both were members of the Imperial Combat Revue. Ichiro being the captain of the Flower Division and Yuichi the new captain of the Moon Division.
