Kouma

The Kouma (降魔,, trans. "Demons") are the main antagonists of the Sakura Wars (Franchise).

Background

The Kouma are evil entities said to be born from the maliciousness, grudges and negative emotions of humans of extended history.

They come in various forms while ranked with common appearances. The lower class are serpentine-like functioned only by the head. Average-class and above are more alien-like with bat wings. Greater demons come out more monstrous even with intelligence, which makes them the game bosses.

While the demons are birthed from various origins, their existence has been confirmed starting from the Warring States period. Under calculation that the Kouma's powers are stronger from the longer their history, only those of high spiritual levels have the means to destroy them.

Close Combat (格闘型)

• Kagitsume (鉤爪)

Healers (治癒型)

• Inazuma (稲妻): Like the Wakisamurai/El-Special types, they are silver-colored weapons with repair functions to heal allies.

Larva (幼生)

• Koumacchi (こうまっち): An organism shaped like a not-so-cute cat's head. Attacks with its fangs.
• Kouma Hugger (降魔ハガー): A small animal type that grows by eating humans when attached.
