The Star Division is the main force of the New York Combat Revue in the Sakura Wars series, as stars to the public and aces on the battlefield.
Background[]
In 1928, the Star Division serves as the main force of the New York Combat Revue. The division is led by Captain Ratchet Altair, former Captain of the European Star Division before its dissolution. Along with lawyer Sagitta Weinberg and Subaru Kujou (also a former member of the European Star Division), Ratchet lead the Star Division in defending New York from its enemies.
Shinjiro Taiga, nephew of the Imperial Combat Revue Commander Ichiro Ogami, joined the Star Division as a new member. During the battle against Ranmaru at Liberty Island, Ratchet loses the ability to use her STAR which is heavily damaged by the demon. She is rescued by Shinjiro who is asked by Ratchet to lead the Star Division in her stead. Following their victory against Ranmaru, Shinjiro is named Captain-in-Training of the Star Division while Ratchet is appointed as Vice-Commander.
As the battle against demons progresses, Shinjiro learns about the legend of the Five-Rings Warriors, warriors that are born with a birthmark known as the Five-Ring Mark. With that knowledge, Shinjiro finds the remaining Five-Ring Warriors Rikaritta Aries, Diana Caprice and Gemini Sunrise and enlists them in the Star Division.
