Tsugarubi is a demon appearing in Sakura Wars V: So Long, My Love. As one of the demons aiming for the revival of the Demon Lord Oda Nobunaga, he's the main antagonist of Chapter 5 and serves as Subaru Kujou's nemesis.
Appearance[]
Tsugarubi has the form of a handsome Japanese man with long, grey hair and pale skin. He is seen wearing a purple kimono. He usually conceals his gem-like eyes behind a ceremonial cloth.
While disguised as a human, Tsugarubi is wearing a white tuxedo with sunglasses.
Personality[]
Tsugarubi looks like the perfect image of an immaculate, composed gentleman as shown when he's disguised as a man. However, under this facade, he's a sinister cunning monster that turns people into stone statues for the sole purpose of realizing his nefarious plans.
Tsugarubi appears to hold a particular hatred for women in general, who are often the targets of his ki-stealing attacks. According to Ratchet, Tsugarubi turned a woman into a statue and sold her off to her own family which shows his lack of compassion towards women.
Background[]
Not much is known about Tsugarubi other then that he's one of Oda Nobunaga's minions that was aiming to revive their master in New York City.
History[]
Sakura Wars V: So Long, My Love[]
Chapter 5 : A Melancholy Intellect[]
Tsugarubi first appears at night in an alley where he transforms a woman into a stone statue by stealing her Pneuma. However, the woman's screams are heard by Shinjiro Taiga who lives nearby. Shinjiro arrives to see Tsugarubi along with a stone statue. The demon lies by calling himself an artist and that his statues could be found all around New York City. Tsugarubi offers Shinjiro to buy a statue but the young man refuses by saying that he's not really an ''art person''. Tsugarubi states that it's disappointing before leaving the scene with the statue. After leaving, Tsugarubi laughs by saying that he will drain the people's Pneuma for his lord.
To achieve his plan, Tsugarubi hosts a party for women aboard a luxury cruise ship. At first, he praises all the present women for being beautiful and wonderful before saying that he will drain their Pneuma for his lord. The demon absorbs the Pneuma of every woman including Cherry Cocker and Anri Yoshino. Tsugarubi is then approached by his comrade Ranmaru who comments that someone will eventually discover that he has turned them into stone. However, Tsugarubi comments that it will actually serve his plan.
