The Type-3 Koubu (三式光武 Sanshiki Koubu) is a next-generation Spiricle Armor and the final model of the Koubu series.

Background[]

In the aftermath of Great Demon War that lead to the Imperial Combat Revue's decimation, the Kanzaki Heavy Industries led by Sumire Kanzaki decided to implement the Spiricle Armors into the next stage in hopes of her friends' return. Thus a new Koubu unit was constructed as a transitional prototype for the new Spiricle Fighter framework.

Using the Koubu Type-2 as the base, the body armor is comprised of Anshar steel, a multi-layered compound of silver, aluminum and "Sylsus alloy". In addition to its heightened flexibility and dexterity from its lightweight armor, a new spiritual core engine that works in tandem with the front armor and fixed cockpit which enhances the unit's movements, allowing it to be more versatile than the previous models. However, as the overall frame structure is that of the Type-2 without a Spiritual Recharger, its average status such as output and spiritual conversion efficiency is still inferior compared with the Spiritual Fighters.

Trivia[]

  • It was originally to be named Koubu Type-3 but was inversed to its current name, presumably by Sumire herself.
    • The naming in cohesion as the Spiricle Fighters' prototype transitions back to the first Koubu development where Sumire named its prototypes the "Three-Colored Sumire"s.
